If you hear the motor run intermittently when the trigger is not being squeezed, that is normal.
The pump is priming itself. Turn off the power washer if not in use after 5 minutes.
The O-rings on the bayonet end of the adjustable lance should be:
Cleaned regularly
Lubricated with non-water soluble grease (e.g., petroleum jelly)
Keep the nozzle cleaning wire (taped to this manual) for unclogging the lance nozzle.
If lost, an unbent paper clip works fine.
NOTICE: Ensure the water inlet line (garden hose) is not kinked or restricted, or it may damage the pressure washer pump.
Damage may occur if the impact force of water exceeds the durability of the surface:
Bare wood can be penetrated
Paint can be peeled off
a. The angle of the surface being cleaned
b. The distance of the nozzle from the surface
Never use a narrow high-pressure stream or the turbo lance on soft surfaces.
When cleaning windows, use the high/low nozzle lance:
Set to low spray
Hold 4–5 feet away at a 45° angle
Squeeze the trigger and vary spray pattern and angle until optimal cleaning is achieved
(See Fig. 23)
Use power washer detergents made for specific applications (auto, boat, etc.)
Should be the consistency of water to avoid clogging
The system applies detergent under low pressure:
Effective when combined with time to break down grime
Always spray detergent on a dry surface
Do not pre-soak with water
Do not allow detergent to dry on the surface
For vertical surfaces, work bottom to top to prevent streaks.
Rinse top to bottom for best results.
For tough stains:
Reapply detergent
Use a bristled brush
Power wash again to finish
