Make sure the bar and chain are free from any obstruction when starting the chainsaw

Move chain brake lever (A) fully FORWARD to LOCK chain brake before starting.

Fill the fuel tank with fuel mixture. Do not over fill.

Fill the chain oil tank with lubricant. Do not over fill.

Move stop switch (B) to UP position.

Pull choke control knob (C) all the way out (CLOSED choke position).

Press the decompression device (D).

After choke control knob is pulled and then knob is returned to original position, throttle remains slightly open (fast idle latch condition). The chain will attempt to move when engine is started with fast idle throttle latch engaged. Do not start engine before chain brake is locked.

Securely hold the chainsaw and pull starter handle (E) several times until first starting sound.

Push choke control knob (C) all the way IN (OPEN choke position)

Pull starter handle (E) to start the engine.

Note: Do not pull starter rope out to the maximum possible position. Do not allow starter handle to snap back against the casing. If engine does not start after 5 pulls, repeat instructions.

When engine starts, immediately squeeze and release throttle trigger (F) to disengaging throttle latch and returning engine to idle. Pull front hand guard towards the operator immediately. (Chain brake unlocked position).

Note: Do not increase engine speed while chain brake is locked. Severe brake damage will result.
