Guide Bar and Saw Chain Installation and Removal

Release cylinder cover latches (A).

Remove cylinder cover (C) and spark plug lead (D).

Remove sprocket guard nuts (E) and sprocket guard (F).

Remove guide bar (G) and saw chain if necessary.

Unlock the chain brake.

Mount guide bar (G) and saw chain on guide bar studs (H) and slide toward sprocket (I).

Install the sprocket guard (F) over guide bar studs (H). Make sure chain tension adjuster pin (J) fits into the guide bar adjuster hole (K). Tighten sprocket guard nuts (D) fingertight.
